Comprehensive Care for Heart Failure

At Piedmont Heart Institute, our expert heart failure team provides excellent care for any stage of heart failure. We are patient-centered and family-focused. Our Heart Failure Centers throughout the region offer patient-centered disease management and accessibility closer to home. We provide comprehensive assessments and treatment plans for every stage of heart failure - including lifestyle management, medication management and symptom management. Our dedicated advanced heart failure centers at Piedmont Atlanta and Piedmont Augusta offer expertise to care for the most basic to the most complex heart failure cases and provide advanced therapies, such as ECMO, heart transplant and durable mechanical circulatory support such as ventricular assist devices.

History of Excellence

Our team has a rich history of excellence in providing expert care for heart failure patients. In October 2010, we began providing patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), and in April 2012, we began performing heart transplants. Our vision remains:
