University Names New Laboratory Director
AUGUSTA, GA. (Sept. 30, 2009) University is pleased to announce the appointment of Christa Pardue as Director of Laboratory Services. She succeeds Tom Zange, who retired in September after more than a quarter-century of service at University.
Ms. Pardue most recently served as Manager of the Core Lab before being selected for the director post after a competitive nationwide search. She has been with University since Augusta 2000, progressing from the technician level through acquisition of certification as a Medical Technologist, attainment of a Bachelor of Science degree and finally a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Kaplan University.
“She has acquired excellent knowledge and experience in all areas of the clinical laboratory, and is well qualified to lead the laboratory into the future,” said Vice President of Support & Facilities Services Kyle Howell.
Ms. Pardue is an Augusta native and a graduate of Butler High School. She now resides in North Augusta with her husband of 14 years, William, her daughter, Ava, and son, Zane.
