Stephen W. Brown School of Radiography Graduates

(AUGUSTA, GA.) The 23rd class of the Stephen W. Brown School of Radiography graduated on June 17.

The graduates successfully completed the supervised two years of clinical practice and theory in Radiology Technology. They are eligible to sit for the national certification exam from the America Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). University Hospital hires only the technologists with ARRT credentials. The twenty-four month accredited program touts a 100 percent pass rate for first time testing.

The winner of the Doug Siverhus Outstanding Student Award for outstanding clinical performance was presented to Christina McDaniel. The Scholastic Award, awarded to the student with the highest grade point average in the class, was presented to Wennie Squires.

Two awards were presented to the junior class student for outstanding clinical and didactic performance. These awards are for the cost of the next year’s tuition. Erin Ashe won the Scholastic Scholarship for the highest grade point average. Terri Syms won the Clinical Scholarship.

Chris Fowler was honored as Technologist of the Year. The award goes to the technologist that the students felt contributed significantly to their clinical education.
