Human Resources Specialist Joins University Management Team
AUGUSTA, GA. (March 1, 2010) Brent J. Mallek, a health care professional with more than 20 years of progressive experience, has been named Vice President of Human Resources for University Health Care System.
Mr. Mallek comes to University from the 6,000-employee University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina in Greenville, N.C., where he was responsible for the strategic direction and human resources operational support for the system’s flagship hospital. He previously directed human resource activities for several health care systems in Illinois and Wisconsin.
Mr. Mallek has a bachelor’s degree in Personnel Management from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resource Management from Edgewood College in Madison, Wis. He also served as an adjunct faculty member of Olivet Nazarene University and DePaul University in Illinois.
