University Health Care Names New Vice President of Network Development, CEO of McDuffie Regional Medical Center
Augusta, GA. – Sandi McVicker, RN, MSN, a professional with more than 30 years of health care experience, has accepted the position of Vice President of Network Development and CEO of McDuffie Regional Medical Center for University Health Care System. She will start her new position in early 2012.
Ms. McVicker comes to University from Georgia Health Sciences Medical Center where she was Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services, Chief Nursing Officer and Interim Chief Operating Officer.
She has a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Ohio University and a Master of Science degree in nursing from Kent State University. She has served on a number of boards including the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals; the United Way of the CSRA; the Symphony Orchestra Augusta; and the University HealthSystem Consortium. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Executives; the American Nurses Association; the Georgia Nurses Association; and Sigma Theta Tau, Delta Xi chapter, a nursing honor society.
In this new position, Ms. McVicker will help University Health Care System with its continued expansion and growth within the system itself and with McDuffie Regional Medical Center in particular.
