UNIVERSITY HEALTH CARE SYSTEM NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF SURGICAL SERVICES
Augusta – Mary Catellier, RN, MSN, an operating room nurse and director with more than 20 years of experience, has been named Director of Surgical Services for University Health Care System.
Ms. Catellier has an associate degree in Nursing from Rochester Community College in Rochester, Minn.; a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of South Florida in Tampa and a master’s degree in Health System Management from Loyola University in New Orleans.
She has managed large operating rooms, vascular labs and cardiac cath labs at WellSpan York Hospital in York, Penn.; Kaweah Delta Health Care District in Visalia, Calif.; HCA-Columbia Paradise Valley Hospital and Surgicenter in Phoenix; St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix; AMI Memorial Hospital in Tampa and HCA Largo Medical Center in Largo, Fla.
She is a certified Operating Room Nurse and a member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses and the American Nurses Association.
Marilyn Bowcutt, president of University Hospital, said Ms. Catellier “has a passion for mentoring, staff development and self-governance. She is an innovative leader with abilities to effectively build and lead empowered work teams with an emphasis on patient safety, quality of care and improving performance through processes.”
