Changes Made to Improve University Imaging Services, Breast Health Imaging
Augusta, GA. – University Hospital is excited to announce imaging services changes for the hospital as well as University’s Breast Health Center.
Effective Nov. 11, imaging services for all non-breast health related patients will be seen in Main Radiology, located on the second floor in University’s existing Radiology department.
Also effective Nov. 11, imaging services for breast health patients will be located in the new Breast Health Imaging in POB 2, first floor (previously The Imaging Center). Upgrades to Breast Health Imaging include mammography screening and diagnostics, ultrasound, biopsies and more.
The creation of Breast Health Imaging allows University Hospital to keep its distinction as a nationally accredited Breast Health Center and build upon that space and those services in the future.
About the Breast Health Center: University's Breast Health Center offers a comprehensive array of well-coordinated breast health services, including education, screening and diagnostic testing, treatment options and support. It is the only nationally accredited Breast Health Center in the CSRA.
