University Hospital Honored with 2007 Aster Award Recognition July 9, 2007

AUGUSTA, GA – July 6, 2007 -- University Hospital has been honored with three gold, one silver and two bronze awards in the 2007 Aster Awards national advertising competition.

The Aster Awards, hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today and Creative Images, Inc., is an “elite competition recognizing the nation’s most talented healthcare professionals for excellence in advertising,” according to Melinda Lucas, program coordinator.

With approximately 3,000 entries, participants in the Aster Awards compete against similarly sized organizations from across the United States. Judging criteria include creativity, layout and design, typography, production quality, knowledge transfer and overall excellence.

“University Hospital scored in the top 5 percent of the judging process, clearly exhibiting outstanding excellence in healthcare marketing,” Ms. Lucas said. “It was an honor to have University Hospital participate in this year’s competition.”

Amy Winn, director of Corporate Communications for University Hospital, expressed pleasure in receiving the awards.

“We are very honored to have our work recognized in this way,” Ms. Winn said. “I have the pleasure of working with a dedicated, talented group of marketing professionals who strive for excellence in everything they do.”

Entries in the Aster Awards were judged by a diverse panel of experts in the field of healthcare marketing, Ms. Lucas said. All winners are posted on the official Web site, www.asterawards.com, as well as honored in the June issue of Marketing Healthcare Today magazine.
