Breast Health Imaging

Piedmont Augusta's Breast Imaging Center offers state-of-the-art diagnostics including digital and 3D mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, and breast ultrasound-guided breast biopsy.

We also provide the area’s only accredited mobile mammography unit. Our mobile unit is equipped with digital mammography equipment and is staffed by an all-female team of registered technologists with advanced training in the disciple of mammography. This allows Piedmont Augusta to make access to breast health care readily available to the CSRA and surrounding areas.  

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence 

Piedmont Augusta's Breast Imaging Center has been designated a Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and has earned the distinction as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. 

Peer-review evaluations, conducted in each breast imaging modality by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field, have determined that this facility has achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.
