In-Hospital Rehabilitation

Orthopaedic and spine surgery patients don’t bounce back into daily life without a little work. Patients begin their rehabilitation in the hospital if they are admitted after surgery, and the Piedmont Augusta Orthopaedic & Spine Center has a rehabilitation gym just steps away from patient rooms to start the first steps to recovery.

Dedicated physical therapists evaluate patients post-surgery to determine patients’ range of motion, access their pain levels and discuss expectations for their therapy to prepare patients for the return home.

Post-Hospital Stay Rehabilitation

Some patients who leave Piedmont Augusta’s Ortho/Spine Center will be able to continue their recovery and rehabilitation at home. However, for those who need a little (or a lot) more assistance, Piedmont Augusta offers a number of rehabilitation services.
