Speech Therapy

Piedmont Augusta offers inpatient speech therapy services at our Downtown and Piedmont Augusta Summerville campuses and outpatient services at our Downtown campus. Inpatient therapy is available seven days a week and outpatient therapy is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at our Speech and Hearing Center on Harper Street and Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on our Evans Campus. Parking is available adjacent to the Harper Street location.

PROVIDING REHABILITATION FOR:

  • Stroke
  • Voice disorders
  • Passy-Muir speaking valves for trach-dependent patients
  • Dysphagia or difficulty swallowing
  • Difficulty with speaking
  • Difficulty following directions and/or participating in conversations

OFFERING:

  • Individualized therapy sessions
  • Caring and compassionate therapists
  • Modified barium swallow studies
  • Neuro-muscular electrical stimulation for swallowing deficits and facial weakness
  • Therapy addressing feeding deficits
  • Cognitive retraining
  • Therapy addressing fluency deficits
  • Therapy addressing voice disorders
