Three-Ingredient Black Bean Burgers
This is vegetarian comfort food. This recipe is quick, easy, and delicious, enjoy!
3 cups cooked beans or 2 (15 ounce) cans black beans; drained and rinsed
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
2 teaspoons oregano
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup grated carrot
1 cup cooked quinoa
½ tablespoon olive oil (if pan frying)
Place the beans, seasonings, carrots and quinoa, beans in the food processor and blend until everything is mixed. Place the mixture in a large bowl and make 6 equal sized patties. Bake on a baking sheet for 15 minutes on one side, flip and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Alternatively you can pan fry by placing the oil in a non-stick skillet and when the oil is hot add the patties, cooking until crispy on one side. Flip and repeat procedure. Serve on lettuce leaves with onions, tomatoes, pickles, avocado, and sprouts.
